What we Teach & Believe

This section tells you more about what we Teach & Believe at JML.
On this page you can read about The Great Commandment and The Church is The Body of Christ.

We have broken up the sections into differect page which you can see below. Click on any of the titles to be brought to that page.
What we Teach & Believe

We believe in one God, the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, His only Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth and His Holy Spirit. Godhead co-exists in three distinct Persons of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There are Scripture which refers to the Godhead. See, Genesis 1: 26 KJV. Then God said: “Let US make man in OUR image according to OUR likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth”.
(Deuteronomy 6: 4) (John 10: 30) (Ephesians 4: 6)

GOD THE FATHER
God is the creator of the Heavens and Earth; He is the sustainer of all things. There is but ONE GOD – OMINIPOTENT, OMINIPRESENT, OMINISCIENT, ETERNAL, PERFECT IN HOLINESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS, LOVE AND TRUTH. (Genesis 1: 1 – 25)

GOD THE SON, JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH
We believe God, the son; Jesus Christ was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit. Born of the Virgin Mary and was without sin.
Luke1: 34 – 35: Then said Mary unto the angel, “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? and The angel answered her and said unto her, “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee, therefore the Holy Child which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. (John Chp 1 v 14 KJV) And the Word was made flesh. The Bible calls Jesus “The Second Adam” (1Corinthians 15: 45). Jesus Christ is the Son of God, son of man. Philippians 2: 6 -7; Hebrews10: 5. God caused Mary to bear a son supernaturally, for nothing is impossible for God.

Jesus was the propitiation for sin between man and God. He was crucified, died and buried and rose again. He completed man’s redemptive work on the cross, climaxed it as He sits on the right hand of God, interceding for all believers who call on His Name in effective prayer. (Philippians 2: 9 – 11), (Hebrews 7: 25), (Leviticus 17: 11), (Luke 17: 11), (Luke 1: 26 – 27), (Hebrews 9: 11 – 15) & (John 1: 29).

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Godhead. He was present at the beginning of creation. Genesis 1: 2.
We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers in Christ, who totally surrender their lives to the complete perfect will of God (Total commitment). We believe in the same Holy Spirit, but there are diversities of operation.
(Ephesians 4: 3 – 7) (Mark 3: 11) (Acts 2: 1)

Also the Gifts of the Holy Spirit (WORD OF KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM, FAITH, HEALING, WORKING OF MIRACLES, PROPHECY, DISCERNMENT OF SPIRITS, GIFTS OF TONGUES AND INTERPRETATION OF TONGES) are available through the Holy Spirit and for the church today. (1Corinthians 12: 1 – 11)

GOD’S ANNOINTING
All men of God were anointed with the Holy Spirit and power before leaving to witness for God. (Acts10: 38, 1: 8, 13: 2 Isaiah, 61: 1 – 2, Luke 10: 19, 1 John 2: 20, John 2: 27, Psalm 133: 2, 23: 5, 2 Samuel 2: 3 – 4).

THE WORD OF GOD
We believe the Bible is the word of God and it is the ultimate source of truth, inspired through the God’s Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21). It teaches us about the love between the Creator God and mankind. The Bible shows us how God interacts with mankind, His purposes and plans, from the beginning of time and throughout history. God reveals himself to us through his word. And we learn about his nature and character, his love, his justice, his forgiveness, and his truth. The Bible is a guide for living the Christian faith. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." (NIV)
In John 1: 1-5; The Lord Jesus Christ was described as God’s creative, living word.
The Bible is a compilation of 66 books and letters written by more than 40 writers during a period of approximately 1,500 years. The Bible was written in three languages. The Old Testament was written for the most part in Hebrew, with a small percentage in Greek and Aramaic. The New Testament was written in Koine Greek.
The Old and New Testament books are divided into seven sections; the Pentateuch, the Historical books, the Poetry and Wisdom books, the books of Prophecy, the Gospels, and the Epistles.
The central theme of the Bible is God's plan of salvation, his way of providing deliverance from sin and spiritual death through repentance and faith. In the Old Testament, the concept of salvation is rooted in Israel's deliverance from Egypt in the book of Exodus. The Old and New Testament reveals the source of salvation as Jesus Christ. By faith in Jesus, believers are saved from God's judgment of sin and its consequence, which is eternal death, through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Bible describes the origin of man in the Garden of Eden along with his fall into sin and out of fellowship with God. It then describes how God called out a special people to Himself, the Israelites. He promised the Israelites a Messiah who would restore mankind's relationship with God. The Bible is the account of the work of God in history bringing to fruition His prophetic declarations concerning Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin, died on the cross, to paid our sins, and rose again, just as it was prophesied by the Old Testament Prophets and the prophecy was fulfilled in the New testament, showing that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the Messiah, the Saviour of the world (John 5:39).
The following prophecy from the Old Testament is about Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection.
(Psalm 34:20, "He keeps all his bones, Not one of them is broken," and Zechariah 12:10, "...they will look on me whom they have pierced...") as evidence of the prophecy of resurrection.
Isaiah 53:10-12; But the LORD was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, and interceded for the transgressors.
Isaiah 53:5, but he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.

THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST
We believe THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST WHICH SAVES, CLEANSES, DELIVERS AND HEALS ALL MANNER OF DISEASES. 1 John 1:7 - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John 2:2 - And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world.
Hebrews 9:22 - And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Revelation 12:11 - And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Matthew 26:28 - For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Hebrews 9:12 - Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us].
Colossians 1:14 - In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins:

THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe in the Second Coming of JESUS CHIRST, which is the Blessed Hope of glory to all believers, when all eyes shall see Him and the dead in Christ shall rise first and those in Christ shall be transformed into His Presence.
(See Acts 1: 6 – 11, 1 Thessalonians 4: 13 – 17, Revelation 1 : 3 & 7)

THE BIBLE
We believe the Holy Bible which consists of 66 books. The Bible is the written Word of God, both the Old and New Testaments contain scriptures which were divinely inspired by the Almighty God. It is infallible, authoritative, without error, given for the divine purpose of directing man to salvation, in Jesus Christ.

(2nd Peter 1: 19 – 21), (John 20 v 31), (Psalm 119: 11), (Proverbs 4: 20 – 22), (Joshua 1 v 8) (Mathew 4: 4).

SALVATION
Man was created by God in the image and likeness of God. Through the original sin of Adam and Eve, mankind has fallen from God and become sinful in nature. Mankind is totally incapable of returning to God on individual merit and is lost completely without hope, apart from the salvation in Jesus Christ. Titus 3:5; Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
Ephesians 2: 8-9; for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
We believe the human race can only be saved through the Lord Jesus Christ, the only son of God, who died for our sin, so we can we can be reconciled back to God, through His blood and have eternal life in Christ Jesus, as we choose to believe on His name. If we confess our sins to God and truly repent of our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
We believe God the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin by faith through the new birth, enabling the believer to grow in sanctification righteousness. We believe in the Sovereign Spirit as the promised “COMFORTER”.
(John 14: 26) (John 15: 5 – 15) (John 16: 7 – 10)
How we can be saved? Steps to salvation:
1) Acknowledge and recognise you are a sinner and in need of salvation and be born again. Romans 3: 23 for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. John 3:3; Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
2) Repent of your sins towards God the father. Acts 20: 21 testifying both to the Jews and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God. Psalm 51: 1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving-kindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Psalm 51: 4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightiest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
3) Confess your sins and wrong doings to God and ask God to forgive you. 1 John 1:9; if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
4) Have faith towards our Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 20: 21 testifying both to the Jews and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. John 3:16; For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Romans 6:23; For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
5) Confess, acknowledge and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as the only Son of God, accept Him as your Lord, Saviour, Master, redeemer and King and that He died and shed His blood to save you from sin, death, judgement and eternal separation from God. He was raised from the dead and lives fore, sited at the right hand of God the father.
Romans 10: 9,10,13; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. -
6) Renouncing false gods: Repent and renounce any involvement you have had with false gods / deities, false Religion, the occult, paganism, new age philosophies.
7) Ask God to deliver you from any involvement with false Religion the occult, paganism, new age philosophies and set you free to serve the one true God, the God of Israel.
8) Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit to help you live a life free of sin and wrong doings. Do not continue to sin and if you do something wrong, ask God immediately for forgiveness and for strength not to repeat the same sin.
9) Join a Bible believing Church and start reading the Bible by going through the New Testament, followed by the Old Testament.

But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: - John 1:12
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. - Hebrews 9:22
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 18:3
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. - Revelation 3:20
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. - Acts 16:31
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. - John 3:36
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish; neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. - John 10:28
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. - II Corinthians 5:17.

THE CHURCH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST

The Church known as the Body of Christ must be perfected in unity and tackle the onerous task of responsibility to minister the Word of God where it has never been heard. Win lost souls into God’s Kingdom and see to care pastorally in all spheres of life in every Christian.
The Church is here to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, See Mark 16:15 - 18
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into the entire world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
The early Church in the book of Acts practised and grew in strength and saw the glory of God manifesting in all areas. They lived under a single banner of Love, teaching, praying and interceding for all: also sharing everything in common for the common good of all. The Church should not be in silence as the adversary is gaining more grounds than before. (James 4: 7)

Read 1 Peter 5: 8 – The adversary to the Church or the Body of CHRIST is said to be “roaring like a lion, seeking whom he may devour”.
Walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil”. Ephesians 5: 15 – 16

Also read about and study for yourself the Five Fold Ministry as laid down in Eph. 4: 11 – 16.

The CHURCH strongly needs men and women to rally round in strong positive and intensified PRAYERS OF INTERCESSION, for the families of every house, locally, nationally and on larger international scale, and thereby break every stronghold on people and places and to cry to God. See Acts 8: 29, 10: 19, 13: 2 and 16: 6 – 10.

THE GREAT COMMANDMENT

We believe in the Great Commandment of Love as the Lord commanded. Read (Matthew 22: 36 – 40).
“You shall love the Lord your God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” This is the great and foremost commandment.
The Second is “You shall love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments depend the whole law and the Prophets. True Love is the key which unfolds God’s hidden treasures and leads His followers into victory. Love is patient and understanding and the bridge leading to the gate through which God’s glory manifests always. 1Corinthians 13. Note its not speaking in tongues, but rather the manifestation of love that is, the “agape” – the self giving divine love which comes from God is to be seen reflecting from believers. (John Chp 13 v 34 – 35) (Mathew Chp 5 v 43 – 48) (Deut. Chp 6 v 5)
(John Chp 15 v2).

WORSHIP AND PRAISE

Worship is an integral part of this Ministry where the Majesty of God and His glory is fully expressed in the hearts of his people.
Psalms 66: 4 and 2:11; John 4: 24 Ephesians 5: 19

David was a typical worshipper in his days as he wrote the book of Psalms. He went through trials and tribulations and had to do lots of prayerful work before the intervention of God on his behalf. Children of God created to worship the Almighty God and bless Him as their Creator and provider. We have to lift Him high up as He protects and cares for us in all aspects.

Through worship the presence of God’s Holiness becomes evident as we worship from sincere heart, in Spirit and in Truth. John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Worshipping should not, be mixed up with praise, worship is to bow in the heart giving reverence to the Almighty God, our heavenly Father in sweet communion and endless fellowship. In the case of praises to God, we sing and shout songs of victory to our God and King with instruments. Our God indeed deserves to be fully praised in the Heavens for the wonderful things he is doing for mankind. King Jehoshaphat and his men sang songs of praises for their victory.

Gideon led his army in praise for days before the stronghold of the Midianites fell flat into their hands. Praise always brings victory untold in lives of comforting believers. Birds, plants and living creatures praise the Holy Name of God their Maker. PSALM 100 and 150. Remember the Israelites when God rescued them from the wicked clutches of Pharaoh and his men. Praise is the next stage after every prayer and any victorious encounter practised by all notable Bible characters in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Whereas directed by the Holy Spirit such men and women spent quite considerable lengthy time seeking God’s will and also praying for particular purposes and needs.

PRAYER

Through prayer we can enter into God’s presence and communicate with Him in respect of personal or relating other people’s needs and ask the Lord God to act upon and address them.

Prayer is categorised as seen in the Holy Bible: Petitions, Supplication, Intercession, Adoration, and Confession. We are called to intercede on to our God and set aside certain specific times of meeting God in lengthy and serious prayers of intercession crying to God and seeking His face for their families, churches, people and Nations, for God’s divine intervention in all areas of life. (1Timothy 2: 1 – 4)

Prayer less Christians are always ineffective in their walk with God. Being prayerful makes you become more and more filled with the spirit of prayer, as God requires of us. In order to maintain our spiritual relationship with God, it is always important to pray according to the word of God, where God reveals His plans to those who seek Him and also directs them accordingly. So prayer is simply a two way conversation between us and God.

(Exodus 34: 2 – 3) (Nehemiah 1: 5 – 10) (Ezra 9: 5 – 15) (John 17: 20 – 25) (Isaiah 65: 24) (Luke 18: 1) ( Acts 12: 5, Chp 12: 12, and Chp 4: 31)

No prayer returns from the throne of God unanswered. There are certainly three grades of answers to prayer. Namely: POSITIVE, NEGATIVE AND SUSPENSE.
We are always joyful when God answers our prayers, but often become discouraged when our prayers seem to go unanswered. The Bible clearly states that we pray according to God’s will, he is always faithful to honour His Word, but whenever it is outside His will, it is negative, and we tend to think God has totally forgotten us.

Answer to prayer in “Suspense” is often discouraging to many Christians who often stop praying completely. We should on no account stop praying because of this; rather we should be examining ourselves and see if our lives have been contaminated with any hidden sin or darkness. David always confessed his shortcomings or sins however small they were and God always forgave him. Read 1 John 1: 8 – 10. Psalm 66: 18. Philippians 4: 6 – 7. 1 John 1: 8 – 10. Psalm 32: 3 – 5.

God knows all the intents of our hearts and therefore any unconfessed sins hinder and impedes our prayers from being answered. Our hearts must always be filled with the Word of God as David remarked. See (Psalm 110 v 11) (Mark 11 v 24 – 25) (Mathew Chp 5 v 23 – 25) God wants us to be presentable both outwardly and inwardly in order to be blameless and without spot in His presence to achieve our objectives of prayer. (Hebrews 5: 7).
Jesus Christ is the Mediator between God and mankind, He has promised that whatever we ask God for, in His name, will be done for us by our father in Heaven. (John 14: 13 – 14 and Chp 16: 23 – 24 ) (Hebrews 4: 16)

FASTINGS

Fasting is practiced in this Ministry as seen in the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Prophets and workers of God got involved in fasting as often as led by God to do so to His Glory. David, Jonah, and Moses fasted as well as Jesus Christ for forty days and nights. Fasting concentrates our minds on God and disciplines the flesh.
When fasting, we empty our self centredness and solely seek God in our endeavours to receive God’s favour. Fasting always goes with prayers. Read Acts 9: 9. Daniel 10: 3 – 19. Esther 4: 16. 2 Samuel 12: 16 – 17. Isaiah 58: 1 – 19. Mathew 4: 4. Acts 13: 3. Joel 1: 13 -14. Joel 2: 12. Read Daniel 10: 2 – 3; Michael, the archangel was sent down to help Daniel.

WATCHING PRAYER OR (NIGHTS OF PRAYER)

God needs watchmen in His Church. Dedicated men and women, who are totally focused on God and can really give their time to nights of watching in prayers, either alone with God or in groups. The Lord Jesus Christ said, if you know when the thief will call, we will prepare and hold on to him, so He warns us to watch and pray in order not to be overtaken by sudden events (Psalms 134).
Mark 13: 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
Matthew 26: 41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Paul and Silas, though chained in the jail, kept watching and praying until God suddenly intervened with his power of deliverance. The Bible remarked that in the middle of the night God descended to their rescue. (Acts 16: 25 – 26) Peter was in chains praying when God sent down his angel to deliver him from prison. It was a real miracle for his people were gathered in prayer of intercession on his behalf. They could not believe their eyes when he was freed. It was unbelievable.
(Acts 12: 15 – 16)

Jesus Himself spent many nights in prayer alone with God. The apostles also watched and prayed to God for revivals for soul-winning and their outreach resulted in about three thousand members being added to the church in just one day. (Mark 1: 35. Mathew 26: 41. Isaiah 40: 31) Nehemiah was a typical watchman who sincerely interceded for his nation and built the broken walls which before were in ruins. Read Nehemiah 9: 5 – 37.
A faithful watchman is always highly rewarded by the Faithful God.

WATER BAPTISM (BAPTISM BY IMMERSION)

So far, the only genuine form of Baptism known in the Bible is by IMMERSION as Our Lord offered Himself went to be baptised by John the Baptist (Mathew 3:13 – 17) Mark 16: 16. Mathew 28: 19. Acts 2: 37 – 38.

In baptism the old sinful nature which is “self” or “ego” is totally buried with Christ Jesus through baptism into death in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the Spirit of the living God, we too may live a new life. (Romans 6: 3 – 4. Acts 8: 36 – 39 and 16: 33). Water baptism is God’s ordinances which must be accordingly adhered to by all believers of the gospel. There is no record of infant baptism in the Holy Bible and so this surely dismisses that idea as practised by others. Jesus was baptised at the age of 30 years of age, WHEN HE COULD DECIDE FOR HIMSELF. Read Luke 3: 21 – 23 (N.I.V.)

BREAKING OF BREAD & WINE

One of the greatest ordinances instituted by Lord Jesus before His death is the breaking of Bread and Wine. JESUS REFERRED THIS TO His Death for the purchase of our Salvation with His precious Blood for mankind.

The Bread of Life refers to the Body of the Lord laid at the altar of sacrifice for the redemptive work on our behalf. The Wine refers to the Blood of Jesus Christ, spilled for our sake, to atone for our sins. Christians are commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ, to celebrate the breaking of Bread and Wine in remembrance of Him. Read John 6: 48 – 56. Mathew 26: 26 -29, 1 Corinthians 11: 23 – 34).

DEDICATION OF CHILDREN

The Bible speaks of the Dedication of children as Hannah brought her son Samuel to the House of the Lord at Shiloh. She had gifts with her to thank God for giving her the child. She handed the baby to Eli, the Priest who performed the dedication ceremony and prayed for God’s blessings on the baby. (1 Samuel 1: 23 – 27)
Christians should note how significant it is to have their children dedicated to the Lord, for by so doing, the blessings of God rest upon the child from the early stages and continue right through his adulthood and become useful to God and mankind. Also, we should note that the kind of name given reflects on the life as well as the character.

OFFERINGS

There are many forms of offering to thanks the Lord GOD FOR WHAT HE DOES FOR US. In the Bible, we read of THITHES, LOVE OFFERING, THANKS OFFERINGS, also the giving of Alms to the poor.

VOWS OR PLEDGES. Offering time is God’s Blessing time. When we read 3 John 1: 2 “Beloved I wish above all things that thou Mayest prosper and be in health even as they soul prospered. God specifically mentions two things that you may prosper in health, as our soul prospers. He talks of prosperity and this definitely means all areas of your life.
(IN THE WORD OF GOD) (Mathew 6: 33). He means every area of your life will prosper including your pocket wallet.

GOD WANTS YOUR MARRIAGE TO PROSPER. GOD WANTS YOUR FAMILY RELATIONSHIP TO PROSPER. GOD WANTS YOUR BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP TO PROSPER. GOD WANTS YOUR CHURCH RELATIONSHIP TO PROSPER. GOD WANTS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR CHILDREN TO PROSPER. GOD WANTS YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO YOUR EMPLOYER TO PROSPER. GOD WANTS YOUR GENERAL HEALTH TO PROSPER.

There is no place in any part of the Bible where it says God wants you to be sick and poor. Read Luke 6: 38 carefully and prayerfully and understandably, too. “God gave us His Only Begotten Son (John 3 v 16) that is Divine Love. We should also give our lives in service to God for the purpose of the gospel. “Whatever measure you use to give, will be used to measure you will receive”. Giving generously to God enables God to honour His part, because He is faithful to His word.

Again, we read and learn about what the Bible is saying about TITHINGS in Malachi 3: 10. Here we see in the Old Testament God gave us first and we often disappoint Him by not giving back and so we lose all the blessings, but in the New Testament He says we should give first and then He would give back. You can always trust God to fulfil His promises.

Look at the beautiful promise God gave to the people of Israel in Malachi 3: 10 – “IF I WILL NOT OPEN TO YOU THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN AND POUR OUT A BLESSING THAT THERE SHALL NOT BE ROOM ENOUGH TO RECEIVE IT”.
How could anybody not give to God when He promises to bless us in full measure? God is always faithful to His promises.
Read 2 Corinthians 9: 7 -13 and 8: 12, Philip 4: 19. Psalm 84: 11 KJV.) Proverbs 10: 22, 11: 24 – 25, 14: 11, 22: 4. Acts 22: 35.
If you trust God with your soul, you can trust Him with your MONEY and this leads to FINANCIAL PROSPERITY.

CONSECRATED OIL FOR HEALING

The Bible clearly remarks how James the Apostle was divinely instructed to advise the elders of the church as to what to do in respect of the sick among them. (Exodus 30: 22 – 32) he says in James 5: 13 – 16 “Is anyone in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praises. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with “OIL” in the name of the Lord Jesus and the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well “the Lord will raise him up”. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.

“Also the disciples went out and preached repentance. They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them. Read Mark 6: 12 – 13 and Chp 6: 55 – 56. Acts 5: 12 -16.

REVELATIONS PROPHETIC MESSAGES AND PROPHECY

Always God reveals to His Ministers before He embarks upon what he intends to do.
(Psalm 25 V. 14) Read Job chapter 1 v 1 – 3. God spoke to Joel and revealed what He wanted him to do.
Phillip the evangelist in the Book of Acts 8: 26-40, was used by God.
So, God has the mechanism of revealing the intents of man’s heart and mind to His anointed.
(Daniel 2: 19 – 23) (Hebrews 4 V 12 -13) (Jeremiah 33 V. 3) Jesus knows what is in men See (John 2: 24 – 25) (1st Corinthians 2: 9 – 12) (2 Kind 6: 8 – 12) Therefore you see, “man’s hidden secret is God’s open to God”. (Acts 10: 9 – 21).

PROPHETIC MESSAGES:-

Read about the prophetic messages passed on to the Shunamite as Elisha spoke:- (2 Kings 4: 15 – 17) (Judges 13: 2 – 3 and 24) Elisha again passed on another message of hope from God changing the tide of the famine in Samaria, but was opposed by the Lord in the King’s Palace. Elisha said, “Behold, eat thereof”. (2 Kings 7: 1 – 2) and read
(2nd King 7 V 17 – 20).

PROPHECY: GIFT OF PROPHECY

Prophecy is part of CHRIST’S Ministry especially during these days of end times as God speaks clearly through this gift, He has given. (Read 1st Corinth. 14 V 23 – 31)
(Ezekiel 33 V 1 – 7) (Hebrews 1 V. 1 – 2) (Deuteronomy 18 V. 18 – 19 and 21 – 22)

THE FIVEFOLD MINISTRY

In Ephesians, the Lord Jesus Christ gave gifts to men kind. Some of the gifts are:- APOSTLES, PROPHETS, EVANGELISTS, PASTORS AND TEACHERS. Briefly these gifts are the main pillars of the New Testament church as recorded in (Ephesians 4 V 11)

a) Apostles are the highest ranking officers who undertakes new projects, and prayers for
God’s revelation and directives before embarking on any mission on either national or
International level.

b) Prophets are those who hear from God for confirmation of the project and predicts
events which might occur and the precaution to be taken in that respect.

c) Evangelists are the front liners who preach and minister the word, saving lost souls
for the Lord.

d) The Pastors are the stationed shepherds who lead and care for the flock.

e) The Teachers are responsible for teaching the flock to know the word of God, what
it really means and how to make sense of it in their daily and general lives, as true
Christians, for others to emulate.
God needs well trained workers filled with the Holy Spirit and power, well-fortified to face the enemy, capture his strongholds and walk in the total victory won by the Lord Jesus Christ 2000 years ago.

THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST

We believe in the Second Coming of CHIRST, which is the Blessed Hope of glory to all believers, when all eyes shall see Him and the dead in Christ shall rise first and those in Christ shall be transformed into His Presence.
(See Acts Chp 1 v 6 – 11, 1st Thessalonians Chp 4 v 13 – 17, Rev. Chp 1 V 3 & 7)

DELIVERANCE

We teach about deliverance and believe every believers should to be set free in order to truly worship and serve God in Spirit and in truth.

How Jesus Dealt With Demons. (References from DPM)

Introductory Reading: Mark 1:21–29
I. Introduction
Mark 1:39 (Philips): “So he continued preaching in their synagogues and expelling evil
spirits throughout the whole of Galilee.”
II. Important Points To Observe
A. Mark 1:27–28—The way that Jesus dealt with demons was the most original and striking
feature of His whole ministry.
1. He also performed miracles of healing, provision, control over the forces of nature,
raising the dead, etc. But all these had occurred in the ministry of Old Testament
believers, such as Moses, Joshua, Elijah, and Elisha.
2. Demons are referred to in the Old Testament (see Lev. 17:7; Deut. 32:17; Ps. 106:36–37).
3. The people of Jesus’ day recognized the reality of demons, and practiced some form
of exorcism (see Matt. 12:27; Acts 19:13–14). But the authority with which Jesus cast
out demons was completely new.
4. Matt 12:28—Jesus Himself described this as the open clash of two spiritual
kingdoms: the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan.
B. Mark 1:24–25—At times Jesus spoke directly to demons, and they to Him (compare
Mark 3:11–12; 5:6–13). But there is no New Testament pattern for holding lengthy
conversations with them.
C. Mark 1:26—There were powerful physical manifestations when Jesus cast out demons.
Compare:
1. Mark 3:11—They fell down before Him crying out.
2. Mark 9:20, 26–27—The boy wallowed frothing at the mouth. The demon cried out
and tore him. After deliverance he looked like a dead person.
3. Acts 8:7—Similar manifestations in the ministry of Philip in Samaria.
D. Mark 1:25–26—Jesus never commanded demons to go to hell or the pit.
1. Luke 8:31–33—Jesus left demons free to enter into any other bodies that were
available to them.
2. Rev 20:3, 10—There is a time ordained when evil spirits will be bound and punished.
3. Matt 8:29—Both Jesus and the demons recognized that this time has not yet come.
E. Mark 1:21–26, 39
1. Jesus combined His casting out of demons with His normal ministry of preaching and
teaching in the public place of worship. This was nothing like the atmosphere of a
psychiatrist’s consulting room or couch.
2. Luke 13:32—Together with healing, this continued throughout Hs whole ministry.
F. Luke 4:40–41—At times Jesus laid hands on people who had demons (compare Matt.8:16).
1. Matt 8:14–15; Luke 4:38–39—Jesus first laid His hands on Peter’s mother-in-law,
then He rebuked the fever.
2. Luke 13:11–13—Jesus laid hands on the woman with a spirit of infirmity.
3. 1 Tim. 5:22—Laying on of hands should always be done with caution.
G. Mark 1:21–23; 5:6—Normally those who needed deliverance had to submit themselves
to the ministry of Jesus.
H. Mark 9:22–23—In the case of a child with a demon, Jesus required faith on the part of a
parent (compare Mark 7:25–30).
I. Matt. 8:16; Mark 1:39—Most of those who Jesus delivered from demons were religious
Jews, forbidden ever to practice witchcraft or idolatry. They were “normal” people,
neither criminal nor insane. Yet Jesus cast may thousands of demons out of them.
J. Mark 5:18–21; Luke 8:1–3—Jesus encouraged those who were delivered from demons to
testify of their deliverance, and they were not ashamed to do so (compare Mark 16:9).
K. Matt. 10:1–8; Luke 10:17; Mark 3:14–15: 6:12–13: 16:15–18—Jesus never sent anyone
out to preach the gospel without commissioning them to cast out demons (compare John).

The Sabbath

Luke 6:5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Sabbath and He kept the sabbath and He worshipped at the Synagogue on the Sabbath. Jesus Christ is the Fulfillment of the Law, he did not come to aborlish the Law. Matthew 5:17-19.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

The Church today, observe Sunday instead of Saturday as the Sabbath, because the Catholic Church, in the council of Laodecea (A.D.336), transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday. 'Peter Geiermann, The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, sec.ed. ,1910, p.50'. The
Sunday Sabbath is entirely man made and there is no bases for it in God's word, the Bible. The real Sabbath is to be celebrated on Saturday the seventh day of the week, not the first day of the week, this is, Sunday.
Genesis 2: 2-3: 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Since our Lord Jesus Christ did not come to aborlish the law or the prophets, but to fulfill the Law of God, it is still important for every Christian to obey the Law of God in our daily lives. This is only possible not through our own efforts or works, but through the mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, who strenghten us through faith in Him.

The Jewish Feasts

We also observe all the Biblical Feasts, just as our Lord Jesus Christ observed and celebrated all the Jewish feasts. Jesus did not come to change the Law, He is the fulfilment of the Laws of the God of Israel. As example of a feast celebrated by the Early Church is The Feast of Tabernacles (Booths) Sukkoth.

(Lev. 23:29-43) “Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath. And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God”.

The Feast of Tabernacles, also called Booths, comes on the fifteenth of Tishri (September-October), the seventh month according to the Jewish (biblical) calendar. This was the third feast that required a pilgrimage to Jerusalem to worship in the Temple and offer sacrifices and offering to the Lord God of Israel.

(Deut. 16:16-17) “Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty: Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee”.

This is Israel’s Thanksgiving feast in which they acknowledge the fall harvest and God’s provision for them. It is happy celebration and a time of joy and rejoicing.

This feast also remembers Israel’s deliverance from Egypt and their subsequent wandering in the wilderness for forty years. During this time Israel lived in tents and worshiped at the Tabernacle which was also a tent. To remember this time the Jews build small tabernacles or booths which walls of plaited branches and thatched roofs as God instructed in Leviticus 23:42. Today to fulfil the commandment, Sukkoth (booth) is still constructed. It must be made of something that grew from the ground and was cut off, such as tree branches.lick on this text to edit it.
